AOJI Gallery pays tribute to one of the most representative manga master of Japan: Yumiko Igarashi.
With a 45 years long career in manga creation, her original productions like “Candy Candy”, “Georgie”, “Mayme Angel” have been read by millions of fans all over the world.

This is the story of a beautiful girl, like an angel, torn between two attractive boys. I was born in Hokkaidô, where the inhabitants have a pioneer spirit that is reminiscent of the Old American West. This story is born from this analogy.
"Mayme Angel is a convinced pacifist. Her catchphrase is : 'Flowers in the holster! So people can live happily with a smile on their lips'. I drew this artwork keeping this message in mind.”
